We are delighted to announce that two works by Mounir Fatmi, Skyline and The Monuments, have entered the permanent collection of Chengdu Art Museum, China.
Both works were revisited and reactivated in 2026 for the Chengdu Biennale, Pulse of Life, presented at Chengdu Art Museum. Originally conceived at different moments in Fatmi’s practice, the two installations were brought into a new dialogue with the context of the Biennale, engaging with questions surrounding architecture, collective memory, knowledge and the structures that shape contemporary society.
Following their presentation at the Chengdu Biennale, Skyline and The Monuments now form part of the museum’s permanent collection, marking an important addition to its holdings of contemporary art.
