Fatmi takes part in EN L'OCCURRENCE, a group exhibition held at Centre Européen d’Action Artistiques Contemporaines in Strasbourg, France. The exhibition proposes a reflection on the modalities of the appearance and perception of the works of art exhibited. The exhibition opens on 17 March and continues until 21 May, 2017.
The title refers both to an occurence, meeting or an opportunity. It is this idea of an "experience on the point of occuring" that has inspired this project. The exhibition explores the different processes available to the spectator when viewing an artwork, participating in an artistic experience whose subtleties are revealed, by the space in which the experience takes place and at a specific time.
