Lawrie Shabibi is proud to announce that Larissa Sansour and Soren Lind have been awarded the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) Award for their sci-fi short, In the Future They Ate From the Finest Porcelain in the Best Experimental Short Film category. The international film festival is renowned for its dedication to innovation and support for film creation, screening films by young artists and celebrated professionals.

GIFF is supported by a considerable number of affiliated festivals and institutions, such as Cannes’ La Cinefundation, Torino Film Lab, Idependante Film Project, Writer’s Guild of America, Cinemart, all focused on the development of international films. The selection of the films are the responsibility of the Festival Organization by means of an International Jury, comprised of film industry professionals. As a BAFTA recognized film festival, all films accepted to the Guanajuato International Film Festival are eligible for consideration for the Orange British Academy Short Film Awards.
