Mandy El-Sayegh presents the new performance Talisman (2024) as part of her exhibition A rose is a rose is a rose is a rose. Created in collaboration with movement artist Chelsea Gordon, the work draws on a range of sources, including diverse forms of prayer ritual which encompass repetition of chants and motion to incite trance-like states.
