Lawrie Shabibi is looking for a Digital Content Producer and Image Manager who is available to start immediately. The candidate will be responsible for the digital marketing of exhibitions, art fairs, news, artists and artworks as well as the production of video content and communicating with the press. A lot of time will be spent communicating directly with the gallery artists to highlight their shows and news.
The role involves (but is not limited to):
- Working with the existing team to ensure timely and accurate publishing of Website/Instagram/Facebook/Artsy/Ocula and other online content across devices.
- Posting social media updates in accordance with the gallery calendar to inform audience on upcoming, on-going and expired content as well as artwork.
- Producing digital exhibitions, newsletter and online viewing rooms.
- Manage all images and artworks on the gallery inventory and to media.
- Creating targeted online sales strategies and analysing data – reaching out to prospective collectors, institutions online.
- Able to take good quality photos where required and to guide third-party photographers to ensure all images of artworks and exhibitions are of high quality.
- Preparing presentations for artists and art fair applications.
- Working on an online sales strategy to grow followers and target online collectors, institutions, curators etc.
- Assisting at art fairs and at the front desk at the gallery.
- Working on other projects as necessary.
Skills necessary:
- Adobe Suite, Sketch-up, Canva/In-Design, Video Editing and Production.
- Basic photography/videography knowledge and graphic design.
- Social Media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Later).
The candidate needs to be able to work independently, with excellent communication skills and a track record of digital communications and portfolio of design work.
