'Intersecting Planes' is a light-based work that constructs the illusion of three orthogonal planes, similar to an XYZ axis, intersecting in space. Each plane is defined by glowing edges and gradients that read as transparent surfaces. Where the three planes overlap, the light concentrates into a brighter node suggesting a central point of energy, like the location of a star in space.

A clear acrylic plate produces a depth-of-field effect that causes part of the composition to appear slightly out of focus, separating the planes into foreground and background. The work uses this controlled blur and the bright intersection point to emphasize spatial alignment and the act of locating a point within a coordinate system.
