In an Invented Summer the World Breaks Apart is a three-part film installation that brings together bodies of water from places closely connected to the artist: San Francisco, California; the Yurok Reservation along the Klamath River; and the coastal waters of Dubai. Each scene is positioned side by side and visually aligned, creating a continuous line that draws these distant sites into a single field of view. Through this formal gesture, Azzuz collapses geographic distance and presents water as a unifying presence, linking distinct places through shared memory, movement, and experience.
