In Doll (1974) Nour turns to bronze to explore the gentle interplay of mass, volume, and memory. Though its title suggests a figure, the sculpture remains resolutely abstract, its rounded forms recalling calabashes, vessels, and organic shapes that marked his early environment. The simplicity is deliberate: smooth surfaces, quiet curves, and carefully held space generate a calm, contemplative presence. The work reflects Nour’s ability to reduce form to its essentials while retaining a sense of rootedness. Through these distilled shapes, he creates an object that feels
