GQ Middle East: “Dima Srouji Spotlights Palestine’s Glassmaking Craftsmanship With Hollow Forms”

Dima Srouji has been working with one of the oldest family-owned glassmaking businesses in Palestine, the Twams family in Jaba’, since 2016. Melding together artisanal processes steeped in tradition with contemporary ideas of Roman glass, the V&A fellow developed new methods of experimentation to produce Hollow Forms. Below, GQ talks to Dima Srouji about her relationship with the Twams family, the distinction of Palestinian glassmaking, and her ongoing fellowship at the V&A museum in London.
