Shaikha Al Mazrou. Stand Here. Public Installation.
Commissioned by The Arab Fund for Art and Culture (AFAC) as a part of their event Make Art Possible, Sheikha Al Mazrou’s public sculpture Stand Here was unveiled on 29 November 2014 at the entrance of the Jalila Cultural Centre for Children. The commissions question the place of culture in public, its tangible and intangible nature and its impact on the collective and the individual.
