Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim: 'Two Clouds in the Night Sky'

Solo Exhibition by Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim
Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim: Two Clouds in the Night Sky is a solo exhibition celebrating the work of pioneer artist Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim, an influential figure in the development of contemporary art in the UAE.

Ibrahim presents a comprehensive selection of paintings, works on paper, assemblages, and papier-mâché sculptures that explore themes of nature, memory, and imagination.

The exhibition takes its title from Ibrahim’s recent cloud-inspired works, revealing his poetic sensibility that connects environment and abstraction. Organized into four thematic sections — In Transit, Traces Made Visible, Shapeshifters, and Where the Land Turns to Play — the show features notable series such as Sitting Man (2010–2015), Sitting Woman Only One (2010), and his early land art pieces including Draped Trees (1996) and Khorfakkan Circles (2004).

On view from 9 October to 22 February, this exhibition offers an exploration of Ibrahim’s meditative, process-driven practice, deeply rooted in the natural landscape of his native Khor Fakkan.
