Driss Ouadahi at the Von der Heydt-Kunsthalle, Wuppertal-Barmen, Germany

Driss Ouadahi takes part in an exhibition titled Systems of Demarcation at the Von der Heydt-Kunsthalle in Wuppertal-Barmen, Germany.

Through his paintings, Ouadahi depicts high-rise buildings, many of which are present in both European and North African cityscapes as perpetually-unfinished shell constructions, highlighting the precarious situation of those trying to find a home in a modern environment.

Featuring alongside Ouadahi's paintings, are works by Susan Hefuna, Mona Hatoum, Kader Attia, Mounir Fatmi, Tamara KE and Saadan Afif, with whom the artist  interacts, either directly or indirectly. Together the works explore the interconnected themes of migration, colonialism, barriers, exclusion, and identity through various media and approaches.

The exhibition opens on 25 February and continues until 6 May, 2018.
