Shortlisted artists are from Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Russia and Central Asia, and their work is just as diverse, varying in style and subject matter, ranging from landscape to portraiture, social commentary and still life. Finalists will be announced on the 17th of October and will be shown in a group exhibition at the Foundation's space in London. The winner of the New East Photo Prize will be offered the opportunity to publish a photography publication based on their submitted work.
