Yazan Khalili . Hiding Our Faces Like A Dancing Wind . 2015
Lawrie Shabibi is proud to announce that Yazan Khalili has been awarded the EXTRACT Young Art Prize following his participation in the group exhibition EXTRACT V at Kunstforeningen GL Strand in Copenhagen, Denmark. Khalili presented his video works Blindness of Love (2013) and Hiding Our Faces Like a Dancing Wind (2015).
An Internationally composed jury of leading artists, curators and museum directors designate the winner on the opening day, motivating recent graduates in developing their work further after the end of the course. Khalili will be asked to return to GL Strand, within the next three years, for his own solo exhibition, allowing the public to explore his work in a broader presentation.
