'Net-Grid Study (chevron#2)' features a collaged painting rag and a bruised palette, which evokes wounded flesh. These are overlaid with sickly-sweet screen-printed elements, including a red grid motif and a turquoise chevron motif – which is where the work borrows its title from.
The painting hints at the grid’s function as both a porous structure that catches abstract information and as a barrier which frustrates, or confuses, reading.
