Two-Way Mirror/Ushnu (Pais Casino) consists of bronze reproductions of textile fragments excavated from archaeological sites in Lima and a casting of a wind eroded brick that sit between rattan screens and two way-mirrors. The optics of concealment recalls the politics of surveillance or that of the church confessionary, prompting a visual experience that is dependent on the participation of the viewer. This visual maze is a meditation on the principles of public and private, visible and invisible, introversion and sociability.
