"Net-Grid (missing eye)" belongs to a El-Sayegh’s investigation into seeing and not seeing. The “missing eye” functions as a metaphor for incomplete perception, damaged vision and the ways political violence, media and personal memory shape what can—and cannot—be seen. It also resonates with El-Sayegh’s long-standing interest in the body as fragmented, wounded and continually reconstructed through layers of information.
