Fatmi participates in the 7th Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/ Architecture of Shenzhen in China which opens on 15 December and continues until 17 March, 2018. Curated by Hou Hanru, Liu Xiaodu, and Meng Yan, the exhibition's theme is “Cities, Grow in Difference," and is organized in three sections, namely Global South, Urban Village, and Art Making City.
The only biennial exhibition in the world to be based exclusively on the set themes of Urbanism and Urbanization, the seventh edition offers a series of exhibitions presented site-specifically in Nantou Old Town, with numerous artistic and architectural interventions in public spaces.
